The Roomie IR-EP is the professional-grade IR adapter for Ethernet networks, supporting 802.3af Power over Ethernet so you can power and connect with a single cable. USB-C fallback power included. Features a built-in Proximity Beacon for automatic room-aware control. The 110-EP model adds an infrared learner for custom IR code programming. Works with the Roomie Remote app on iOS and macOS.

Roomie IR connects any number of iOS or macOS devices to any number of infrared devices. Roomie IR-EP works directly via Ethernet and does not require any additional hubs or adapters or emitter cables.

Roomie IR adapters are supported by Roomie Remote X and Roomie Remote 9.2.4 and above, and also provide an open network API. Firmware updates are managed by Roomie Remote X.

This model provides Power over Ethernet support and does not require a separate power connection as long as it is plugged into a PoE capable switch. You can also connect it to USB-C for power if needed.

Every Roomie IR adapter also doubles as a Proximity Beacon: using its built-in Bluetooth Low Energy radio, Roomie Remote can sense which room your iPhone or iPad is in and automatically switch you to that room as you move through your home. Proximity Beacon support requires Roomie Remote 10.4 or later on iOS or iPadOS and is not available on macOS.

Roomie Remote includes hundreds of thousands of infrared codes for virtually all devices with over 15 years of experience refining rock-solid codes, and also supports adding codes via the Custom Devices feature. After adding the adapter to your network and positioning the adapter in line or sight or adjacent to the target device, add the device in Roomie Remote.

On models with the built-in Infrared Learner, you can also teach the adapter directly: point an original remote at the adapter and Roomie Remote captures the code from its 38 kHz infrared receiver, so devices outside the database can be added without leaving the app.
